KINGrinderK6 Hand Grinder.

The verdict in one line: KINGrinder lists a 48mm stainless steel burr, a 30-35g hopper and Fine and Medium setting ranges that cover our espresso and pour-over guides, but its adjustment is 60 clicks per round at 16 μm per click, so it misses the espresso guide's stepless preference.

Plain speech

Buy it, or don't.

For you if

  • You brew both espresso and pour-over and want one hand grinder with a Fine range (25~60) and a Medium range (90~120) listed by KINGrinder.
  • You weigh doses on a separate scale: the 30-35g hopper clears our 18 to 19 g espresso dose and 15 g pour-over dose.
  • You are comfortable with a clicked dial: 16 μm per click, 60 clicks per round.

Not for you if

  • You want a stepless grinder: our espresso guide prefers one, and KINGrinder describes 60 clicks per round.
  • You want a motorised grinder: KINGrinder sells the K6 as a manual hand grinder.
  • You need one setting number to carry across brew methods: the Fine and Medium ranges are 25~60 and 90~120, so the dial moves a long way between our two guides.

Questions, answered plainly

FAQ.

KINGrinder’s own pages describe the K6 as an exterior-adjustment hand grinder: 60 clicks per round, 16 μm per click. Our espresso guide lists “burr grinder, stepless preferred”. A clicked dial is not stepless, so that check fails. The burr itself is not in question: a retailer listing states a 48mm stainless-steel burr.

The rest of the checks pass. KINGrinder’s grind setting table puts the K6 Fine range at 2560 and the Medium range at 90120. Our espresso guide asks for Fine and our pour-over guide asks for Medium. The same retailer lists a 30-35g hopper, which clears the 18 to 19 g espresso dose and the 15 g pour-over dose.

Sources differ in places. KINGrinder’s comparison page says the weight is 600+g; the retailer states 630g. The Basic Barista lists capacity as 35g, against 30-35g elsewhere. This page uses the manufacturer’s capacity range. Amazon carries several K6 variants under different titles, so check the listing matches the straight-handle model before you buy.

FAQ

Is the KINGrinder K6 stepless?

No. KINGrinder describes an exterior adjustment of 60 clicks per round, with 16 μm per click. Our espresso guide prefers a stepless grinder, so this is a fail on that one check.

Does the hopper hold one dose for each guide?

Yes. The retailer lists a 30-35g capacity. Our espresso guide doses 18 to 19 g and our pour-over guide doses 15 g per 250 g cup, so either fits with room to spare.

Which settings match our espresso and pour-over grinds?

KINGrinder’s grind setting table lists Fine at 2560 and Medium at 90120 for the K6. Our espresso guide asks for Fine and our pour-over guide asks for Medium.

How big is it?

A retailer lists 55 x 52 x 170 mm and 630g. KINGrinder’s own comparison page states 600+g.

Is it electric?

No. KINGrinder presents the K6 as a manual hand grinder with a clicked exterior dial. None of the sources describes a motor.
