Every factual claim is sourced and linked.
Caffeine numbers, brew ratios, and equipment specs come from manufacturer disclosures, lab analyses, or our own kitchen testing. Where we cite a number, we link to where it came from.
About Caffeine & Co
Caffeine & Co is an independent coffee publication, run out of a Melbourne kitchen with beans sourced from roasters worldwide. We are data-obsessed by habit: when a caffeine figure, a brew ratio, or a spec sheet is disputed across the internet, we go and reconcile the public numbers ourselves and cite where every figure came from.
We are not a coffee brand, and we are not owned by one. We buy most of the gear we review, we run our own brew tests, and we write down what actually happened, including when it disagrees with the marketing copy.
Editorial standards
Caffeine numbers, brew ratios, and equipment specs come from manufacturer disclosures, lab analyses, or our own kitchen testing. Where we cite a number, we link to where it came from.
If a review says we tested it, we bought or borrowed the gear and used it. Research-based comparisons, built from public specs and other people's testing, are labelled as research-based, not hands-on.
Affiliate relationships do not influence verdicts. A brand paying us a commission has no say in the score their product gets, and we turn down partnerships that ask for one.
Caffeine content and brew claims vary wildly across brands, labs, and blogs. Instead of picking one number and hiding the rest, we show the range, name the sources, and explain how we reconciled them.
If we get something wrong, email [email protected]. We check it, fix it, and note the correction on the page rather than quietly editing it away.
How we make money
Some links on this site earn us a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We also run display advertising. Both are disclosed on every page they appear on, and neither one changes a verdict, a score, or a recommendation.
