BrevilleDual Boiler.
The verdict in one line: The spec sheets clear our espresso guide's 9 bar pump, spouted portafilter, tamper and dose needs and add a shot clock, but there is no grinder or scale in the box and the shot volume controls are not weight based, so it suits someone who already owns a grinder and a 0.1g scale.

For you if
- You already own a burr grinder and a 0.1 g scale: the spec sheets list neither, and our guide's gear list needs both.
- You want a 9 bar extraction from a 15 bar Italian pump, with low pressure pre-infusion first, per Breville's own page.
- You dose 18 to 19 g: Breville states the 58 mm portafilter holds a 22g dose, so our range fits with room to spare.
- You time shots against our 25 to 35 second window: Whole Latte Love lists a shot clock.
Not for you if
- You want one box with a grinder: neither retailer listing shows one, and our guide wants a burr grinder, stepless preferred.
- You want the machine to stop at a target weight such as 36 to 38 g: the listing describes shot volume control, not weight.
- You want to skip buying a scale: our guide's gear list calls for a 0.1 g digital scale and the accessories list has none.

Questions, answered plainly
FAQ.
Breville builds the Dual Boiler around a 58 mm portafilter and a pump that matches our espresso guide. Breville’s own page states a “9 bar extraction process delivered via our 15 bar Italian pump”, with low pressure pre-infusion first. That clears the guide’s 9 bar requirement.
The basket suits our dose. Breville says the portafilter “holds a 22g dose”, and our guide doses 18 to 19 g. An integrated tamper is listed in the box, and Whole Latte Love lists a double spout portafilter and a shot clock for the 25 to 35 second window.
The gaps are the same ones our gear list names. The accessories lists show no grinder and no scale. Shot volume is programmable, but that is volume, not the weight our guide cuts on at 36 to 38 g. Prima Coffee lists the water tank at 84oz.
FAQ
Does the Breville Dual Boiler include a grinder?
No listing we fetched shows one. Whole Latte Love’s description ends with “All you’ll need are some freshly ground beans”, and its accessories list names no grinder. Our guide’s gear list calls for a burr grinder, stepless preferred.
Does it fit the 18 to 19 g dose in our guide?
Yes. Breville states the 58 mm portafilter “holds a 22g dose”, which covers 19 g. The listing offers 1 cup and 2 cup single and dual wall baskets.
How big is the water tank?
Prima Coffee lists the water tank capacity as 84oz. Breville’s own page, as fetched, does not state a tank size.
Can it cut a shot at 36 g out?
Not by weight, per the listings. Whole Latte Love lists preset, manual-override and programmable shot volume. Our guide cuts by weight, so a scale is still needed.
What is the warranty?
Whole Latte Love lists a 2-Year Limited Warranty. Prima Coffee describes a 2-year warranty covered by Breville, plus a third-party extended option.
